Product Description

The DELTA 3 Max is EcoFlow's current mid-size power station and the replacement for the DELTA 2 Max: 2,048 Wh of LFP battery behind a 2,400 W inverter, in a case you can still lift into a truck bed on your own. It is the size most people land on when the goal is a refrigerator through a power cut, a satellite terminal that stays online, or a camp that runs for several days without a generator.

What's in the box

  • EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max portable power station (2,048 Wh) ×1
  • AC charging cable ×1
  • Manuals and warranty card
Not included — sold separately
  • Solar panels and solar charging cables
  • Car charging cable
  • Alternator charger
  • Extra battery

Worth knowing: the DELTA 3 Max ships with the AC charging cable only. The DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus include a car charging cable; this model does not.

What it will actually run

Watt-hours only mean something once you turn them into hours. Working from 2,048 Wh and allowing for inverter losses, the DELTA 3 Max gives roughly a day and a half on a domestic refrigerator, about two days of continuous Starlink Mini, close to twenty hours on a Starlink Standard kit, and several days of lights, laptops, phone charging and a satellite phone or messenger. A CPAP runs for two or three nights. Those are estimates for planning, not guarantees — your own appliances decide the real number.

The 2,400 W inverter is the other half of the story. It starts a domestic fridge, runs a microwave or a coffee maker, and handles power tools on a job site. X-Boost pushes that to 3,400 W for heating loads such as a kettle or a space heater, though it is not suitable for precision equipment.

Who buys this one

Homeowners who want the essentials covered through an outage without a permanently installed system. Overlanders and RV owners running a 12 V fridge and charging everything at camp. Anyone relying on satellite communication in the field, where a dead battery is not an inconvenience but a safety problem. If you need multiple days rather than one, look at the expandable DELTA Pro class instead; if you mostly need to keep comms and laptops alive, a smaller RIVER-class station will do it for less weight.

Where people use it

Common questions

A Starlink Mini draws roughly 25–40 W, so 2,048 Wh works out to about two days of continuous use after inverter losses. Running it from the 100 W USB-C port rather than an AC outlet avoids the inverter entirely and stretches that further. Add a folding solar panel and you can stay online indefinitely in decent sun.

Yes. A full-size fridge uses about 1–2 kWh a day, so a DELTA 3 Max covers roughly a day to a day and a half on its own. The 2,400 W inverter starts a domestic fridge comfortably, and you can run the router, lights and phone charging alongside it.

No. Airlines cap lithium batteries at 100 Wh in carry-on, with 101–160 Wh allowed only by prior approval. At 2,048 Wh the DELTA 3 Max is far above that limit and cannot fly as passenger baggage. For air travel you want a power bank of 100 Wh or less.

Three: a standard wall outlet (100–120 V, 15 A), solar at up to 500 W through the 11–60 V input, and a vehicle at 12 V, 24 V or 48 V. You can set a slower, gentler charge speed in the EcoFlow app when the unit is plugged in overnight.

If they fall inside the 11–60 V and 13 A window, yes — that covers EcoFlow's 110 W, 160 W, 220 W and 400 W folding panels and most third-party panels with MC4 connectors. Check open-circuit voltage before connecting; too high a voltage is the one mistake that damages a power station.

No — it replaces it. Both hold 2,048 Wh and both put out 2,400 W of AC, but the DELTA 3 Max is the newer generation: about five pounds lighter, rated for more charge cycles, and built on EcoFlow's current app and charging platform with a 100 W USB-C port. If you are choosing today, the DELTA 3 Max is the current model.
