Plans are split by terminal group, since the down and up speed tiers available depend on which class of terminal is deployed. Why Global Xpress for land based broadband
Global Xpress was the first high-speed Ka-band commercial satellite service to span the world, delivered from Inmarsat-5 satellites that combine fixed narrow spot beams with steerable beams that can direct extra capacity where it is needed. Operating in Ka-band while integrating with the proven L-band network gives Land Xpress sites reliable, high-throughput connectivity without waiting on fiber or cellular buildout.

Good to know before you activate
- A one-time activation fee applies to every new line; it is shown on the plan page.
- Available bandwidth depends on the installed terminal, its RF configuration and the selected plan.
- The higher throughput tiers may require a high-power terminal configuration.
- Which plans a site can order depends on its terminal group; a Group 1 terminal orders Group 1 plans, and a Group 2 terminal orders Group 2 plans.
- The service runs on a 12-month contract billed monthly.
- Usage beyond the included allowance is billed and quoted separately rather than cutting the connection off mid-job.
- Voice calls on a Land Xpress line are billed at the per-minute rate shown on the plan page.

A Land Xpress plan needs a Global Xpress class terminal, and which plan group applies depends on which terminal is deployed. The EXPLORER 5075GX Fly-Away and EXPLORER 8100GX Drive-Away systems are the current land terminals sold here, alongside the compact Global Xpress SWARM terminal for smaller sites.
