Fleet Xpress Plans: 60cm and 100cm Ka-Band Bandwidth Tiers
Fleet Xpress pairs high throughput Ka-band data with FleetBroadband as an automatic fallback, so a vessel stays online when the Ka link degrades in heavy weather. Plans are grouped by antenna size, 60cm or 100cm, because that is what the terminal installed on the vessel supports. Inside each group, pick the download and upload speed the crew and onboard systems actually need, then the term length.

Bandwidth tiers for vessels running a 60cm Fleet Xpress antenna, from a 1024/512 kbps entry tier up to 8192 kbps down with several upload options. Commitments run one to five years because the hardware and guaranteed bandwidth are provisioned per vessel.

Why Fleet Xpress for continuous connectivity
Fleet Xpress runs the bulk of a vessel's traffic over high throughput Ka-band and switches to FleetBroadband automatically if the Ka link degrades, so the connection does not simply drop in heavy weather. That bandwidth is enough for crew internet, video calls, large file transfers and remote diagnostics from shore side engineers.
- High throughput Ka-band with automatic FleetBroadband fallback if the signal degrades
- Bandwidth suited to crew internet, video calls and large file transfers
- Antenna size, 60cm or 100cm, matched to the terminal already installed
- Terms from a few months for a charter up to several years for a permanent fit
Good to know before you activate
- An activation fee applies to every new line; it is shown on the plan page.
- Fleet Xpress runs the bulk of traffic over Ka-band and switches automatically to FleetBroadband if the Ka link degrades.
- The plan has to match the antenna size actually installed on the vessel, 60cm or 100cm.
- Usage beyond the included allowance is billed at the rate shown on the plan page.
- Available bandwidth depends on the installed terminal, RF configuration and vessel requirements; a high bandwidth plan may need a high power terminal configuration.
- Commitments run from a few months up to five years because the hardware and guaranteed bandwidth are provisioned per vessel.
- The minimum term is the one stated on the order, and ending early carries the fee stated there.
Terminals these plans activate on
A Fleet Xpress plan activates on a GX-class maritime terminal sized to the antenna class chosen. The Intellian GX60 and GX100 and the SAILOR 60 GX and 100 GX systems cover the 60cm and 100cm classes on this page.
