Product Description
Inmarsat Fleet Xpress airtime, pairing high throughput Ka band data with FleetBroadband as an automatic fallback so a vessel stays online when weather closes in.
Fleet Xpress runs the bulk of a vessel's traffic over high throughput Ka band and switches to FleetBroadband automatically if the Ka link degrades, so the connection does not simply drop in heavy weather. The bandwidth is enough for crew internet, video calls, large file transfers and remote diagnostics from shore side engineers. Commitments run for several years because the hardware and the guaranteed bandwidth are provisioned per vessel. Usage beyond the included allowance is billed at $1.99 per additional minute, so there is no hard cut off in the middle of a job. The service runs on a 60 month term, billed each month. Coverage on this plan is global. A one time activation fee of $50.00 applies when the line is set up. Activation is handled by our team in San Diego, and we can have the line live before your equipment ships. This tier is provisioned at 4096 kbps down and 2048 kbps up on the 60 cm antenna.
