Why 800 W matters
A cigarette-lighter socket gives you roughly 100 W, so refilling a 1,024 Wh station takes ten hours of driving. At 800 W the same job takes about ninety minutes. For a 2,048 Wh station the difference is between impractical and routine. That is the whole argument.

It takes power from your vehicle's alternator and pushes it into a power station at up to 800 W — about eight times what a cigarette-lighter socket manages. An hour of driving replaces most of a day's camp use. It is the single biggest upgrade for anyone who moves between camps.
No. It monitors the vehicle battery voltage and backs off before it can leave you stranded, and the battery maintenance mode works the other way — trickling power from the station back into the vehicle battery if the vehicle has been sitting.
Reverse charging mode sends up to 800 W back into a 12 V or 24 V vehicle battery, which will recover a flat battery. Treat that as recovery rather than a jump start — give it time to put charge in rather than cranking immediately.
It wires directly to the vehicle battery with the supplied fused cabling, which is within reach of anyone comfortable working on their own vehicle. If you are not, an auto electrician will do it in well under an hour. The 125 A fuse is not optional.
