Product Description

55 litres is the GLACIER size built for a family or a trip long enough to need a real restock. Fit the included divider and it becomes a 52-litre dual zone, holding a freezer side and a fridge side at once, across the same -20°C to 20°C range as the smaller sizes. It's also the heaviest of the three at 55.6 lb.

Who buys the 55L

A family camping for a week, a van build with the cargo space to spare, or anyone who'd rather do one big grocery stop than restock every few days. The extra 10-20 litres over the 45L adds real capacity, but it also adds close to 10 lb — worth checking your rig has room and payload for it before sizing up.

Powering it off-grid

The 55L uses the same 55W-rated compressor as the smaller sizes, cycling on and off rather than drawing flat out, so a bigger box doesn't mean proportionally more power. AC input tops out at 95W and solar/DC at 110W, so the power draw pairing with a station and a panel is the same as for the 35L or 45L — you're just feeding a larger box.

Where people use it

Common questions about this product

No — this is the version without EcoFlow's plug-in battery pack, which is sold separately as its own accessory. It runs from AC power, a 12V car socket, solar, or a power station; it doesn't hold its own charge and isn't cordless on its own without that add-on.

Yes. The included divider splits the 55L into a 52L dual zone with independent temperatures on each side, so you can freeze meat solid on one side while the other stays at regular fridge temperature, in the same box, on the same trip, without swapping settings.

EcoFlow rates average noise under 38.5 dB, which is quiet enough for a van or small cabin without disturbing sleep. The compressor is still audible as it cycles on and off through the night to hold temperature — it isn't silent, just unobtrusive by portable-fridge standards.

Yes. AC input is 95W max and solar/DC input is 110W max, identical to the smaller GLACIER sizes, so a mid-size power station paired with a single portable panel runs it comfortably without needing anything oversized or a second panel.

It reaches -20°C (-4°F) for real, solid freezing, up to 20°C for standard fridge duty, either across the whole 55L as one single zone or split between separate fridge and freezer temperatures once the divider is fitted for the trip.

Only if you need the extra capacity — it's roughly 10 lb heavier and a bit larger in every dimension for about 10L more single-zone space (or 10L more dual-zone space). For most trips the 45L is the easier fit; the 55L earns its size on longer trips or bigger groups.
