Product Description

45 litres is the size most people land on: big enough for a real grocery run, small enough to still fit in a back seat or a van galley. Drop in the included divider and it splits into a 42-litre dual zone, running one side as a fridge and the other as a freezer at the same time, from -20°C to 20°C.

Why the 45L is the common choice

It's the size that covers both jobs without asking you to choose. Leave the divider out for one large 45L compartment on a grocery-heavy trip, or fit it for a 42L split — fridge on one side, freezer on the other — for a week where you need both running at once. The 35L skips this option entirely; the 55L offers it too but at more weight and footprint.

Powering it off-grid

The compressor is rated at 55W and cycles rather than running continuously, so day-long draw is lower than that number suggests. It accepts AC up to 95W or 12V/solar up to 110W, which a mid-size power station and a single portable panel handle comfortably for van life or a multi-day camp.

Common questions about this product

No — this listing is the version without EcoFlow's plug-in battery pack, which is sold separately as its own accessory. It needs a continuous power source to run: AC power, a 12V car socket, solar, or a power station. It won't hold its own charge and run cordless without that add-on.

Yes. Fit the included divider and the 45L splits into a 42L dual zone with independent temperature control on each side, so groceries stay chilled on one side while meat stays properly frozen on the other, inside the same box.

EcoFlow rates average noise under 38.5 dB, which is quiet enough for a van or small cabin without disturbing sleep. The compressor still cycles audibly on and off through the night to hold temperature — it isn't silent, just unobtrusive compared to most portable fridges on the market.

Yes. AC input tops out at 95W and solar/DC input at 110W, both easily within range of a mid-size EcoFlow station, so it's a straightforward pairing for camping or RV setups that are already running a station for lights, phones, or a Starlink terminal.

It reaches -20°C (-4°F), cold enough to hard-freeze food solid, and up to 20°C at the warm end for standard fridge duty — either across the whole 45L as one zone, or split between fridge and freezer temperatures with the included divider fitted.

Any panel feeding into its 11-30V, 8A Max solar input will work, up to 110W total. Check that your existing panel's connector matches the fridge's DC input port, or pick up a simple adapter cable to bridge the two if the connectors don't line up already.
