Product Description

The DELTA Pro Ultra X Inverter is the core of EcoFlow's whole-home backup system: 12,000 W of 120/240 V output, 10 kW of solar input across two ports, and support for stacked 6 kWh battery modules. On its own it stores nothing — it is the engine, and you add batteries to suit the house. Run up to three together and the system reaches 36 kW and 180 kWh.

Who should install this

Running appliances straight off the inverter's own outlets doesn't need an electrician. But this product is designed around whole-home backup — tied into your panel through a transfer switch, a 50 Amp Hub, or an EcoFlow Smart Home Panel. EcoFlow's own manual says that wiring should be done by a licensed electrician, and we agree: get it done right the first time.

What it doesn't include

This SKU is the inverter only. It needs at least one EcoFlow battery module (rated 6,144 Wh each) to actually store and deliver power — those are sold separately, along with whatever transfer switch or hub your install calls for.

Common questions about this product

No. This is the inverter unit only, and it has no stored capacity on its own. You'll need to add at least one compatible EcoFlow battery module, rated 6,144 Wh each and sold separately, before the system can actually store and deliver power.

Plugging appliances into its own outlets is fine without an electrician. But wiring it into your home's electrical panel — through a transfer switch, hub, or smart panel — needs a licensed electrician. Improper panel wiring is a real safety and code issue.

Up to 12,000 W continuously through its AC output, which covers most household circuits and several major appliances at once. What you can actually run also depends on how many battery modules you've added — more modules mean more runtime, not more output power.

It has two separate solar inputs — two PV inputs rated 80–500 V, taking up to 5 kW each for 10 kW in total — so it accepts a fairly wide range of panel configurations. Call us at (619) 238-0205 with your panel specs if you want that checked before buying.

It carries an IP54 rating, which covers dust and light splashing but isn't rated for direct rain exposure or submersion. Plan on mounting it in a garage, shed, basement, or other covered utility space rather than fully exposed outdoors on a wall.

Not necessarily — EcoFlow's manual shows setups using a Smart Home Panel 2, or simpler setups using a transfer switch alone (with a 50 Amp Hub if you're pairing two units). Which one you need depends on how many circuits you want backed up. Call (619) 238-0205 and we can help you figure out the right configuration.
