This Iridium solar package is a great addition to your existing satellite phone emergency kit. Â It includes (1) a solar battery pack that boasts 100,000 mAh, (2) a USB charging cable that fits the Iridium 9505a, 9555, 9575, and PTT satellite phones, and (3) a leather case for the Iridium 9555, 9575, or PTT satellite phone.
Solar Battery Pack – This multi-function solar charger, with internal battery, has a capacity of 100,000 mAh and an output of DC 5.0V, 2.1A.  It can be used to charge any small electronics with a USB connection, including your Iridium 9555 satellite phone!
USB Iridium Charging Cable - This USB charger is designed for the Iridium 9505A, 9555, 9575, and PTT satellite phones. It is also fully compatible with the solar battery pack that comes with this kit.
Leather Case – The Iridium 9555, 9575, or PTT leather case is made with genuine leather, the plastic does not yellow with time, and it protects the keyboard and screen of your phone from scratches.

Do I need to rent or purchase a satellite phone?
If you are needing a satellite phone more than 6 weeks out of a year we always suggest purchasing. This will save you money in the long run. If you are just doing a short camping, hiking and hunting, etc. We recommend renting the satellite phone.
