The Thuraya XT-PRO is the first satellite phone with built-in GPS, BeiDou and Glonass capability for highest flexibility in all regions. It has the biggest display on any satellite phone and comes with hardened Gorilla® glass for harsh environments. The screen is designed for glare resistance which allows for optimal visibility in bright sunlight and it includes a brightness sensor to automatically adjust the backlight of the display.

Dedicated SOS button
For those who find themselves in times of distress, the XT-PRO features an easy to use dedicated SOS button which can be used even when the satellite phone is switched off. All you have to do is press and hold the SOS button for 3 seconds. This will start the phone and sends an alert (a call and/or an SMS) to any pre-programmed number.

Do I need to rent or purchase a satellite phone?
If you are needing a satellite phone more than 6 weeks out of a year we always suggest purchasing. This will save you money in the long run. If you are just doing a short camping, hiking and hunting, etc. We recommend renting the satellite phone.

If you are planning on going on a trip where cell service is not available or if you want to be prepared for the next natural disaster. Satellite phones work when nothing else does. How quickly can I get a satellite phone?

Which satellite phone has the best coverage?
Satmodo only works with the best networks. Iridium, Globalstar, and Inmarsat all offer different coverage areas. The only network that has global coverage is the Iridium Network.
