GSP-1600 provides redundancy communications when cellular networks are down or unavailable and offers easy-to-use voice communication with standard US 10-digit dialing and exceptional voice quality. Powered 100% by Globalstar’s Satellite Network, users can make and receive phone calls, retrieve GPS location, and dial out directly to emergency services with locally based phone numbers (where available).

The GSP-1600 phone is designed with the flexibility to meet the needs of customers who aalready depend on wireless communications to stay productive and in contact from the field, but find themselves in areas where cellular or radio coverage is either unavailable or inaccessible.

TALK TIME/STANDBY TIME
In Globalstar satellite mode, the phone will sustain normal operation for 3.75 hours of talk time, 19 hours of standby time.
In AMPS (IS-41) mode, the phone will sustain normal operation for 2.8 hours of talk time or 15 hours of standby time.
