In addition to the GMDSS provided by Lars Thrane's LT3100s GMDSS system, services such as SSAS, GMDSS alarm panels and printers require the LT3140S interface unit. Iridium GMDSS operates on the global Iridium "Truly" satellite network. The interface offers additional services now and in the future when offered in conjunction with the Lars Thrane LT3100S GMDSS system.
The LT-3100S GMDSS System is satisfying the new MED directive with Wheel Mark approval. Small and compact. No necessities for both message terminal or printer. The solution will not only provide GMDSS offerings but also Voice, SMS, and Data. The integrated GNSS/GPS receiver will guide functions like tracking. Interface for BAM and ECDIS. The Antenna Unit may be set up as much as 500 meters from the Control Unit.
