Bivy two way satellite messaging and tracking service, keeping a small handheld device in contact with family, dispatch or rescue services off grid.
Bivy handles two way messages, so a person off grid can send an update and read the reply rather than only broadcasting. The device pairs with a phone app for typing messages, mapping and route tracking, and it carries an SOS function of its own. It is popular with backcountry travelers and small teams who want messaging and tracking without the cost of a voice plan. Usage beyond the included allowance is billed at $0.99 per additional minute and $0.75 per additional megabyte, so there is no hard cut off in the middle of a job. The commitment is a single month, so the service can be started for one trip and stopped afterwards. Coverage on this plan is global. A one time activation fee of $50.00 applies when the line is set up. Activation is handled by our team in San Diego, and we can have the line live before your equipment ships.
