ACR GlobalFix V4, Category I EPIRB (2830)
The GlobalFIX™ V4 is a full-featured EPIRB loaded with high-efficiency electronics for performance you can count on, including an internal 66-channel GPS for faster acquisition from a cold start. A protective keypad cover helps prevent false activation and the user-replaceable battery pack has a 10-year replacement.
It has two functional self-tests to monitor the beacon’s transmission, power and battery performance, and GPS acquisition. Pair these tests with ACR’s 406Link.com optional testing portal (available for the Americas only) and receive satellite confirmation messages directly to your cell phone or email.

Can I buy a satellite phone?

Do I need to rent or purchase a satellite phone?
If you are needing a satellite phone more than 6 weeks out of a year we always suggest purchasing. This will save you money in the long run. If you are just doing a short camping, hiking and hunting, etc. We recommend renting the satellite phone.

If you are planning on going on a trip where cell service is not available or if you want to be prepared for the next natural disaster. Satellite phones work when nothing else does. If there is no power and no cell service your satellite phone will work. Making this the most reliable form of communication.
How quickly can I get a satellite phone?

Which satellite phone has the best coverage?
