Pocket-Sized, Self-Contained Satellite Tracker

The SHOUT Nano is a handheld, global, two-way satellite messaging and personal tracking device. It utilizes the Iridium® satellite network’s Short Burst Data® (SBD®) service to provide location information determined by a GPS receiver, two-way inbound and outbound status, text messaging, and emergency/alert notifications. The SHOUT Nano has an internal 1.95 A-Hr rechargeable Li-Ion battery, a high-resolution LCD screen, and a 911 alert button for emergency situations. The SHOUT nano measures 4.0” x 2.2” x 0.8” and weighs ~6.5 ounces, ideal for easy concealment.

Designed with ultra-low power consumption electronics, the SHOUT Nano draws less than 35-micro-A during sleep and can wake up from sleep to send a position report hourly for up to two months (~1,200 reports). It supports the transmission of free text, canned text, and a combination of both.

The Iridium Shout Nano is a compact and easy-to-use personal 2-way communication device. It was designed and made to be efficient and have low power consumption.  It has an LCD screen/display and an on-screen keyboard to make texting and using canned messages much easier. This device sends data in 256-bit AES encrypted format

• Messaging Capabilities-Supports the transmission of free text, canned text, or a combination of both via four different sets of the on-screen keyboard

• Small Form-Factor-Conveniently small in size for covert and/or convenient personnel tracking

• Emergency Alert-Sends alerts to a designated monitoring center after completion of a 911 activation sequence. The monitoring center and the user can then communicate to define further specifics of the emergency

• Normal Tracking-Programmed to automatically wake up and send a position report at a set interval (ranging from continuous to once every seven days)

• Available for Commercial or DoD-The device can be programmed for either the DoD or commercial Iridium Gateways

• Waypoint Tracking-Sends and/or saves waypoints for later retrieval
• Encryption-Data is packaged in either standard or 256-bit AES encrypted format. Data can also be sent in encrypted PECOS formats (including Brevity Codes)
• Quick Check-allows- a quick check-in message to be sent using a single soft key

Iridium SHOUT nano is a handheld tow way messager that is portable, easy to use, and perfect for Satellite messaging, GPS, emergency, text messaging. It is great for any outdoors person, government use (DOD flashed), or business tracking services.

The SHOUT nano is equipped with an LCD display and an on-screen keyboard allowing transmission of free text and canned messages. The device can periodically “wake up” from sleep and send its position report to a server or send an emergency alert via a 911 button. Data are sent in either standard or 256-bit AES encrypted format. An internal motion sensor allows the detection of a man-down scenario. The position report is in PECOS Message Structure (PMS) or optimized NAL Research’s protocol. The PMS complies with the Blue Force Tracking Data Format Specification.
