Product Description
Iridium OpenPort airtime for maritime voice and data, keeping vessels connected on the only satellite network with genuine pole to pole coverage.
OpenPort combines voice lines and IP data on one maritime terminal, so a vessel can run crew calling and operational data at the same time. Speed can be stepped up or down by plan, letting an operator match the monthly cost to how the vessel is actually used. Coverage holds at high latitude, which is why it appears on fishing and research vessels working far north and far south. This plan includes 10 MB of data every month. Usage beyond the included allowance is billed at $12.99 per additional megabyte, so there is no hard cut off in the middle of a job. The service runs on a 12 month term, billed each month. Coverage on this plan is global. A one time activation fee of $50.00 applies when the line is set up. Activation is handled by our team in San Diego, and we can have the line live before your equipment ships. Throughput on this tier runs at up to 32 kbps.
