How does Satellite PTT work?

Think of it as a conference call – except that it’s immediate and cellular coverage isn’t necessary. This is an important factor for users who are located in remote areas around the world.

Users decide on particular coverage area and assign users within that area. Coverage areas range in size from small (100,000 square kilometers) to jumbo (2,250,000). This way, users only pay for the areas their groups are communicating within.

Conveniently, talkgroups and regions within a coverage area can be modified at any time.
