Because SPOT Trace uses 100% satellite technology, it can communicate anytime from some of the most remote locations around the world

TRACKING

SPOT Trace’s customized tracking features take your SPOT experience to the next level. SPOT Trace allows you to select 2½, 5, 10, 30 or 60-minute tracking intervals. View your asset’s GPS coordinates online in near real-time with SPOT Mapping.

MOVEMENT ALERTS

Keep track of your asset’s movements so it’s always secure. Receive text and/or email notifications when your SPOT Trace’s vibration sensor detects your asset has new movement.

DOCK MODE

Configure SPOT Trace to track an asset that is primarily stored on the water.

POWER OFF MESSAGE

Receive a notification if SPOT Trace is powered off.

LOW BATTERY MESSAGE

Receive a notification when SPOT Trace’s batteries are low.

STATUS MESSAGE

Receive a daily alert to let you know your asset’s location, reassuring you that it is secure.

How does spot trace work?
Activate the device create an account and select a satellite subscription at inreach.garmin.com.Turn on the device.

Follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, go outside to an open area with a clear view of the sky. Please wait while the device communicates with the Iridium satellite network.

Does spot trace require a monthly service?
The SPOT Trace device requires an active service subscription in order to properly perform tracking functions. All subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of the contract period.
