The SAILOR 60 GX, built by Cobham, is both the most advanced and the lightest antenna for Inmarsat’s Fleet Xpress broadband service made especially for maritime users. It keeps weight down using an innovative aluminum and composite design, while streamlining deployment and maximizing operational up-time with the proven SAILOR VSAT technology.

The lightweight and compact SAILOR 60 GX makes it possible smaller vessels to enjoy VSAT connectivity, without expense and installation difficulty of larger units.  It is both reliable and rugged making it a great maritime stabilized antenna system with professional grade capabilities.

Extremely Light & Rugged

The SAILOR 60 GX, by Cobham, is designed to handle the most extreme sea conditions without sacrificing the high bandwidth connectivity of the Fleet Xpress service.  This is the fastest tracking antenna in its size class and boasts superior performance on all axes: roll, pitch, & yaw.  This means that the SAILOR 60 GX will maintain a connection with the Global Xpress network, even in the roughest sea conditions.

 

Advanced VSAT Technology

The SAILOR 60 GX has a ton of design features and details included in the SAILOR VSAT platform that makes installation easy.  It is delivered ready-to-install and includes the SAILOR GX Modem Unit (GMU) paired with a SAILOR Antenna Control Unit (ACU).  They are connected with a single cable that carries RF, power, and data.  The antenna unit includes dynamic motor brakes which eliminate the need for mechanical brake straps while, at the same time, making sure that the antenna stays balanced during no-power situations at sea.

 

Simple Remote Access & Diagnostics

The Cobham SAILOR 60 GX provides easy, remote access, in addition to robust diagnostic features, including monthly usage statistics, SNMP, and built-in email clients that automatically share system performance logs.  This makes management of the system, like other SAILOR VSAT systems, exceptionally simple.
