The Hughes 9502 BGAN M2M External Antenna Terminal is designed to work over the Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) for IP SCADA and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications making it a great fit for enabling environmental, pipeline, or compressor monitoring, SmartGrid, well site automation, or video surveillance.

The 9502 M2M terminal delivers affordable, global, end-to-end IP data connectivity, even to power-challenged regions that rely solely upon solar-battery arrays with sensitive power budgets.  In fact, one of the most impressive features of the 9502 it’s exceptionally low power consumption (1W idle).

The terminal comes with 32 feet of RF cabling, allowing the user to position the antenna away from the transceiver, which could remain in a secure location to better protect your property from unauthorized use or theft.


  • Utilizes BGAN or M2M SIM cards
  • “Always-on” connectivity means no manual intervention is needed to recover from an outage
  • Auto-on/auto-context activation automatically restores power and PDP connection following loss of power or IP connection
